Q: How do you use your Oura Ring?

A: “My Oura Ring is something that I use on a daily basis to make sure that I’m in tune with the body, know if I have had my optimal sleep, and see if my recovery is right where it needs to be in order to execute at my absolute best not just physically, but mentally as well.”

Q: What is most important to your overall performance?

A: “In order for me to be my absolute best in my craft, I need to make sure I’m focusing on ALL the elements. That’s recovery, training, my mental edge, and just building on each element, so I can be at the top of my game when it comes time to perform.”

Q: You mentioned recovery. What does recovery mean to you?

A: “When I think of recovery, I think of mobilizing. I think of the nutrition I’m eating. I think of my hydration, my walks. I think of swimming and doing low-impact movements that are going to help just move the body and allow the body to rest, recover, relax, and get into its neutral state. After recovering, when I can get into the gym the next day, I can apply that intensity that my sport requires of me, and truly be at my best.”
