Oura is always expanding tools to help you get a better night’s sleep.

As part of that, we’re excited to announce that Oura’s sleep sounds library has expanded to include stories and meditations that can help you wind down at the end of the day and drift off to sleep. You can listen to sleep sounds right when you’re trying to fall asleep, in the evening to unwind and relax, or during the day when you’re looking to take a break or lie down for a nap.

Check out this feature and see how it impacts your sleep.

How You Can Use This Feature

1.Before bed, you’ll see an invite to explore the sleep sounds library on your home screen. You can click on the invite to access sleep sounds or listen during the day by tapping on the hamburger menu on the homepage.

2.Inside the library, you’ll see stories and meditations that you can customize with background “soundscapes” to craft the right experience for you. Once you click play, you can fall asleep knowing Oura will automatically turn off when the recording finishes and your sleep will be tracked normally – even if you fall asleep in the middle!

3.The night after you try out a sleep sound, it will automatically show up again on your home screen close to bedtime, making it easier to find your favorite sleep sounds.

Examples From The Oura Community

Wondering how to use sleep sounds? Here are some examples from the Oura Community.

“I tried Rockabye Railway last night and my latency dropped from like 20 minutes to 5. I guess Facebook isn’t quite as relaxing as soothing train vibes, huh?” – Namibia

“I’ve used other apps with bedtime recordings but they weren’t able to tell me whether or not it actually made me sleep better. I’m definitely in an experimenting mood now…” – Yuki

“Having these sounds and stories in the Oura app allows me to declutter. In the past, I’ve used other apps to listen to relaxing content prior to bed, but I view this as a major upgrade to my personal experience…” – Samantha
