Q&A with Kate Brinks

What brought you to Oura?

There are many reasons, but the most important is that Oura is driven by a mission to improve people’s lives for the better. Between work and my personal life, the last few years have been very taxing and I deprioritized myself to care for others. Oura has helped me refocus to manage my stress, sleep, and overall health. I am excited to be a part of a company that takes health and well-being seriously, both for its members and its team.

How has your background prepared you for your new role here?

I’ve been in the consumer tech industry for over 20 years, with a majority of that time spent in consumer hardware. My experience with scaling businesses so they can increase their positive impact on customers is in line with Oura’s goals for growth and impact going forward.

What has your experience been with the Oura Ring?

Oura has helped me see how and when stress is impacting me, helping me identify triggers so I can minimize them or make sure I’m tackling high-stress situations when I’m at my best. It’s also taught me that some stress is good and productive.

What are you most hoping to bring to Oura?

I’m excited to bring a new perspective to this team. I am so impressed by the people I’ve met so far and the caliber of talent at the company. The Oura Ring is a world-class product and I’m excited to share our message and story far and wide. We’re just getting started!
