What’s Oura’s return policy?
If you bought your Oura Ring from the Oura online store, you have 30 days from the day it arrives to return or exchange it for any reason. That gives you a few weeks to wear your smart ring day and night and see how it fits your life.
What to know before you send it back:
- Keep it in good shape. Your ring should be functional and undamaged, and you’ll need to return everything that came in the box: the ring, charger, and USB-C cable.
- You get one return or exchange per item. Once you’ve exchanged a ring, you can’t return that same ring for a refund later.
- Exchanges are for size only. You can swap for a different size of the same ring. If you’d like a different model or finish, return your original ring and place a new order.
- Shipping isn’t refunded. Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Is Oura Ring waterproof?
Oura Ring 5 is IP68-rated for dust and water, so you can shower, swim, wash dishes, and sit in a sauna or hot tub without taking it off. Ingress protection (IP) ratings are an international standard (IEC 60529) grading how well a device is protected against the intrusion of solids or liquids. The first number after “IP” covers dust and particulates, and the second number covers water. These ratings are tested in still, fresh water, so rinse the ring after time in a chlorinated pool or the ocean, and keep it away from bleach and abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish. Always dry it before charging, because the charging dock is not waterproof.

How long does the Oura Ring battery last?
Oura Ring 5 lasts up to 6–9 days on a single charge, depending on your ring size and which features you use. A battery that lasts for days means fewer gaps in your sleep, heart rate, and temperature trends.
When it’s time to power up, a full charge takes about 80 minutes. You don’t have to wait until it’s empty, though. Oura’s batteries perform best between 25% and 80%. An easy routine is to charge during low-activity moments, like while you’re cooking or working at your desk. Aim for at least 30% before bed, because if the battery runs low overnight, you’ll still get a bedtime and wake-up time, but no Sleep Score or Readiness Score.
