In building Cycle Insights, our goal was simple: to give you a clearer window into your body’s natural rhythms. We know that for many members, Oura Ring isn’t just a sleep tracker—it’s a daily partner in understanding your fertile window, reading your body’s subtle temperature signals, and knowing when to try.

Now, we’re asking for our members’ help to take that science another step forward.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce a first-of-its-kind, IRB-approved research study in partnership with Maven Clinic, designed to explore how continuous wearable biometrics can support people who are trying to conceive (TTC).

Why This Research Matters

The journey to conceive is one of the most personal experiences in the world, yet fertility science as a whole has historically been limited by sparse, periodic data points.

Your body, however, isn't static. It changes every hour of every day.

By looking at continuous biometric data—like skin temperature variations, heart rate variability (HRV), and resting heart rate—we can unlock deeper, real-world insights into cycle health and the TTC experience.

To bring deep, specialized expertise to this research, we’ve partnered with Maven Clinic, the world’s largest virtual clinic for women’s and family health. Together, we are bridging the gap between everyday wearable technology and rigorous clinical research.

How It Works

Maven x Oura Trying to Conceive Study We know that trying to conceive can sometimes feel overwhelming. The last thing someone needs is another complicated daily task or an extra device to charge.

This study is designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life:

  • Passive Data Sharing: The study relies on the continuous biometric data Oura is already collecting during sleep, shared only after explicit consent of participants.
  • Short surveys: In-app surveys permit easy data contribution
  • Complete Control: Enrollment is completely voluntary, IRB-approved, and managed securely in the app via Oura Labs. All data collected is de-identified. A participant can opt out at any time.

By sharing data, participants aren't just tracking their own cycle—they are actively building the scientific foundation that will power the next generation of fertility tools for millions of women worldwide.
