Building on last year’s licensing agreement with Circular, ŌURA has entered into two new multi-year patent licensing agreements with RingConn and OMATE, a wearable technology company, demonstrating ŌURA’s commitment to enabling ethical collaboration across the smart ring ecosystem.

ŌURA and RingConn announced a comprehensive settlement and patent license agreement, which resolves all outstanding patent disputes between ŌURA and RingConn in the United States. As part of the agreement, RingConn may continue offering its smart rings and companion app while making royalty payments to ŌURA. The terms of the agreement are confidential between the parties.

We’re committed to advancing preventive health, and our technology is at the heart of the smart ring ecosystem,” said Avonte Campinha-Bacote, chief legal officer at ŌURA. “We welcome the opportunity to work with others in the space seeking to build responsibly within the smart ring category.”

ŌURA’s licensing agreement with OMATE provides the company with access to a portion of ŌURA’s comprehensive portfolio of patented technologies, ensuring that future OMATE smart rings are developed in alignment with this agreement and providing business certainty.

Together, these wins are meaningful not just to ŌURA but for the advancement of the broader smart ring category. We remain dedicated to protecting the creativity, innovation, and hard work of our scientists, developers, engineers, and employees who are shaping the future of holistic health innovation.
