Launching October 8, Oura’s latest brand campaign eschews AI; instead, it features a world crafted entirely by hands, for hands—centering and celebrating Oura Ring 5, the world’s smallest smart ring.

For Oura's fall brand campaign, “Wear Your Best Life,” we created a miniaturized city at one-tenth scale, complete with working trains, remote-controlled cars, and fully functioning practical details, and filmed it live on camera.

The resulting city is fictional, but the everyday human moments within it are unmistakable. Borrowing design cues from Los Angeles, New York, London, and beyond, our miniature cityscape provides a global backdrop for the stars of the show: human hands wearing Oura Ring 5.

Watch the behind-the-scenes video below, and read on to explore how this detailed creative world came to life.

The Starting Point

Following two momentous campaigns for the World Cup and U.S. Open, Oura’s marketing team wanted to celebrate the Oura Members everywhere, and show what wearing your best life really looks like in practice. The central idea behind the joyful campaign is a simple truth: the more you understand your body, the better you can live in it.

“We weren't interested in making a standard product spot,” says Giselle Persak, Integrated Marketing at Oura. “We wanted to build an emotional world that viewers could step into—a platform designed to stretch seamlessly across TV, Out-of-Home (OOH), social media, and retail environments.”

Owning the Hand

Wear Your Best Life | Oura Brand Campaign

To bring this vision to life, we teamed up with our longtime agency partner, Nice+Frank. Our ongoing collaboration—spanning campaigns like "Give Us the Finger," the Oura Ring 5 launch, and NBA Playoffs activations—has always been grounded in a single North Star: creating breakthrough work that never looks or feels like traditional tech advertising.

During our creative sessions, we asked a fundamental question: What can Oura unmistakably own?

The answer was right at our fingertips. Unlike other wearables that wrap around a wrist, Oura Ring lives on the hand. The hand is our primary tool for movement, individuality, agency, and expression.

Historically, because Oura Ring is small, our production team has always had to shoot extremely close up. Rather than treating that macro viewpoint as a limitation, Nice+Frank used it as the foundation for the entire creative language of the campaign.

Crafting a 1/10th Scale Universe

Wear Your Best Life | Oura Campaign BTS

To bring the hand to life as a living character, we partnered with director Sam Walker and a team of master modelmakers in Prague to physically craft our miniature world.

While digital effects could have simulated this, we wanted the campaign to celebrate authentic human craft—mirroring our brand's dedication to high-quality design.

The set by the numbers:

  • 12 custom-built sets and 8 miniature cars, all constructed by hand
  • 35 dedicated modelmakers working around the clock
  • 3 weeks of continuous set building in Prague (a build that typically takes three months)

Every scene relied on tactile, practical engineering:

  • Cars were operated via remote control or hand-pulled strings.
  • Subway cars featured real, working internal lights.
  • Miniature shower sets used real pumped water.
  • Underwater shots were captured by physically lowering specialized camera setups into miniature pools.

Bringing Choreography to the Fingertips

A miniature world needs movement. To portray the daily routines of our characters, we brought on choreographer Lilach Chen—a viral creator known for pioneering "fingerbreaking" (finger breakdance) with over 1.35 million YouTube followers.

Under Chen’s direction, we assembled 14 elite hand dancers representing 14 different countries—including Israel, Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Greece, and the Czech Republic. Their movement gave physical rhythm, stride, and emotion to hands stepping through tiny streets, diving into water, and navigating everyday moments.

In early September, after weeks of prep, we captured the entire shoot across two intense production days in Prague.

Oura's Wear Your Best Life Campaign

From Film Set to Global Ecosystem

Once the camera stopped rolling, our edit took place over seven days before locking post-production. From there, the project transitioned into a synchronized effort across all internal Oura teams to prepare assets for every consumer touchpoint globally.

"Wear Your Best Life" rolls out on October 8 to channels in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, followed shortly by in Germany, the UAE, and Finland.

By leaning into practical effects and human talent, we created a campaign that celebrates both the technology on your finger and the art of living healthier, longer.
