We are launching a new partnership with MD Live by Evernorth – a national virtual care platform of board-certified physicians and licensed therapists providing primary care, 24/7 urgent care, behavioral health, and dermatology – to support a GLP-1 program. Eligible members enrolled in participating employer-sponsored health plans that offer MD Live Virtual Primary Care will be able to enroll in the program, which includes an Oura Ring provided through the plan sponsor.

Millions of Americans are now taking GLP-1 medications to manage weight and other health conditions, and these therapies are increasingly shaping care conversations across obesity, diabetes, sleep apnea, and related concerns. But many of the questions, challenges, and day-to-day decisions that come from treatment happen between medical appointments, creating an opportunity for new tools to help people track their journey and stay connected to their care team.

The partnership that begins in early 2027 will bring together Oura biometrics, user medication tracking, daily health insights, and MD Live clinical care. Oura Members can track doses, weight, meals, symptoms, and side effects alongside Oura insights such as sleep, activity, readiness, recovery, and heart rate. They will also have access to Oura Advisor, which provides GLP-1-awareness education and support.

“For people using GLP-1 medications, many of the questions and decisions that shape their care happen between appointments,” said Ricky Bloomfield, MD, chief medical officer at Oura. “We’re excited to give eligible MD Live members additional wellness tools that help them better understand their experience over time and share relevant information with their clinician when they choose. By bringing together Oura insights, medication tracking and physician-led care, we’re helping create more informed conversations between visits and a more connected care experience overall.”

MD Live Oura ScreenshotEligible members can choose to share information from their GLP-1 Insight experience with their MD Live clinician, providing greater visibility into patterns such as dosage adherence and symptom trends, and supporting more informed and personalized clinical conversations. Because experiences with GLP-1 medications vary from person to person, personalized biometric data, viewed alongside logged doses and reported symptoms, can give both members and clinicians additional context about their experience over time. These insights are wellness tools designed to help members track their experience and support conversations with their MD Live clinicians. They do not direct treatment or replace clinical judgment of the treating provider, who remains responsible for treatment decisions.

For plan sponsors, the offering combines Oura’s GLP-1 Insights and biometric tracking with access to MD Live’s dedicated care team, helping eligible members keep track of and better understand their journey, with access to MD Live clinicians for more personalized support.

„The future of healthcare is proactive, connected, and personalized to the individual. Through MD Live’s partnership with Oura, we’re creating new ways – with patient consent – to help physicians have additional context about a patient’s experience between visits and give patients more support throughout their health journey,” said Emma Sagan, president of MD Live by Evernorth and head of Evernorth Pharmacy Advancement. “MD Live’s NCQA-certified care and physician expertise, combined with Oura’s insights, can help people make more informed decisions, have richer conversations with their care team, and take meaningful action to support their long-term health.”

Who the offering is for

The offering will initially be available to eligible members through select employer-sponsored health plans offeringMD Live Virtual Primary Care, with the potential to expand over time.

The initial population is expected to include eligible members who are already taking a GLP-1 and those who are newly prescribed a GLP-1.

GLP-1 Insights is helping members navigate the experience day to day

Since launching this summer, nearly 260K Oura Members in the U.S. have enrolled in GLP-1 Insights. Compared with the average Oura member, GLP-1 Insights members use Tags to track side effects, mood, or appetite at three times the rate. Of those members, one in four uses Tags, while one in three engages with Oura Advisor weekly. After three months, 80% of GLP-1 Insights users are still actively logging doses.

Together, these signals show that members are using GLP-1 Insights to meet two important needs: getting personalized guidance through Oura Advisor and tracking symptoms and side effects in the moment through Tags. The experience turns day-to-day information into something members can use and discuss with their MD Live clinician.

Extending support across the GLP-1 journey

Our collaboration with MD Live is the latest example of Oura’s work to bring connected health tools into different parts of the GLP-1 journey, giving eligible members access to Oura’s connected health experience alongside physician-led care. Together, Oura and MD Live are helping people track their experience, stay engaged with their care, and have more informed conversations with healthcare professionals, no matter how they access GLP-1 treatment.

Oura’s GLP-1 Insights feature is a wellness tool and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Its insights are not a substitute for medical care. Members should consult their healthcare professionals for medical advice and treatment decisions.
